how to get back into blogging? 5 tips

I've been blogging for four years now, I had some great and low points during the last four years. I am still working on myself, to be a better blogger. Here are some tips on how to get back into blogging after having a longer break. Here are some tips I've learn after my losing my blogging mojo in 2013/14.

1. Start slow - There is no need for you to rush! You don't need to force yourself to blog everyday. Blog when you feel like it. I don't blog everyday, purely because I don't blog full time, so I don't have so much time to focus on my blog and I don't always feel like blogging. Remember quality over quantity.
2. Interact with people - I normally get really inspired to blog after Twitter chats, mostly the #bbloggers chats on Sunday at 8pm. Everyone is welcomed so make sure you take part, great way to meet new people, as well as to promote your blog. Make sure you are following me on Twitter @burningblonde.
3. Browse through your own blog - Think about how you can improve your own blog, what would you like to change? Maybe you could get a new blog design? New design of your blog could get you more motivated, as well as it will attract new readers.
4. Read old blog posts from your favourite bloggers - Again I would say that this point is great, if you run out of ideas, somehow this makes me want to blog again.
5. Don't be afraid to take a break - You shouldn't be scared of taking a break, sometimes we all need one. Everyone needs a holiday.

pay day pick - jo malone cologne

It's Friday and it's pay day too! If you would like to treat yourself I would definitely recommend buying a Jo Malone Cologne. My favourite is the Earl Grey & Cucumber Cologne, the scent is really fresh and circuitsy (is that even a real word?). I am a big fan of the Earl Grey tea, I also really like the circuits scent of Earl Grey tea. I find it so difficult to describe a perfume scent, wish we could somehow share scents over the internet, life would be so much easier.

This is a expensive treat, but it's pay day, so it's okay. You won't regret! The perfume last all day on the body and clothes. Definitely worth the investment. Would also recommend booking a Jo Malone Introduction to the brand session, then you could learn more about the scents, as well as the brand. What are you planning to treat yourself with on Pay Day?

*The "Pay day pick" post will always go live on last Friday of the month.
favourite night combo, kiehl's it is!

Let's talk about my favourite night combo! I feel like I finally found great night moisturing routine. Kiehl's isn't really a new brand  to me, I have been using their products for over a year now. At first I wasn't a big fan of the Midnight Recovery Concentrate purely because I didn't feel like my skin have absorb the concentrate overnight. Whenever I woke up I could still feel the oil on my face. After mentioning on twitter that I don't feel like my skin absorbs it, someone have suggested to mix the oil with a cream. Kiehl's Skin Rescuer Stress Minimizing Daily Hydrate have been on my shelf for such a long time, so I thought why not try to mix two great products together! My oh my that was the best decision!

When you mix both products together the formula becomes more watery, but the skin absorbs both products really fast. My skin feels really re-hydrated the next morning and I don't get the dry patches around my chin and nose area. The Kiehl's Skin Rescuer Stress Minimizing Daily Hydrate is a lightweight cream, which is also great to be worn under make-up. Stress-minimizing daily hydrator minimizing the appearance of the visible signs of stress on the skin such as dull looking skin and uneven skin tone.  I really like the packaging, as it comes with a pump. It's a pricey cream, but as long as it takes good care of my skin I am happy! Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate is a oil, the packaging is also great too. I am so sad that I've pretty much already used it up. The Concentrate have a very nice scent.

Overall I really like both products and I definitely re-purchase once I will use them up. They are expensive, but having good skin is worth all the money! Have any of you tried Kiehl's before? What are your favourite products from the brand?

crown make-up thoughts

Crown have launched their new make-up line. I always knew Crown for Brushes, the brushes have a great opinion online, so the make-up must have good quality too. After giving everything a test, I am finally ready to share my opinions on the make-up with you all.

Crown Waterproof Eyeliner in Gone Platinum* is one of my favourite product, mostly because of the silver colour and the pigmentation! Looks so gorgeous in the inner-corner of your eye, as well as on the water line. The pencil is really soft, you can blend out the colour if you want to, but once it dries it will stay in place.
Crown Chubby Eye Pencil in Black Out* my oh my! This is so hard to get rid off! I really like to  apply this as a eyeliner, but only at the very end of my eye and then blending it out. Hopefully I will be able to do Face of The Day posts soon, so I will show you what I mean. Overall I think that the Chubby Pencil is worth trying out and it's not too expensive either.
Crown Chubby Lip Pencil in Hollywood Dreams* the colour of the Lip Pencil isn't really my cup of tea, but the product does have a good pigmentation. Lasts on the lips for around 2hours, before needing any touch up. I have tried sharpening the Chubby Pencil, at first I thought it could be slightly difficult as the pencils are so well made, but trust me it's such a smooth process.
Crown Lip Linear in Smoked Salmon* after all the Kylie bandwagon everyone seem to be obssesed with lip liners, not going to lie so am I! Smoked Salmon looks beautiful all over the lips, it's not really that nude'ish as the picture may suggest, I would say it's a true salmony colour.
Crown Bronzer Matte/Sunkissed* is in fact not matte, as it has a very shimmery finish, and is more of a highlighter than a bronzer. I don't really see myself using it as a bronzer, but it does look really lovely as a highlighter.

What do you think of the Crown make-up range? Is it something you're planning to try out or you rather just pass?
love tanya by tanya burr

Never thought that I will review a book on my blog. I am really proud of bloggers/vloggers achieving their dreams. Why have a actually picked up only Tanya Burr book? Mostly because I like the fact that this book is all about Tanya, she was one of the first vloggers I've started to watch. For example Fleur book is more of a guide and I am not fan of guide books. Zoella's book on the other hand is aimed at younger readers than myself.

Whist reading the first pages you will find out more about young Tanya, about her family and how she met Jim. As well as you will find out why she have started her youtube channel. What I mostly like is that the book includes all product she actually uses. Again the book doesn't tell us "what to do" and really dislike when the book tells me what should I do. You will also discover some of Tanya's favourite recipes. Overall I do really like the book and I think it worth giving it a read if you like Tanya Burr. The photography in the book is very nice. It's half price pretty much everywhere at the moment, I've picked up my copy from my local Sainsbury's, also half price.

march empties #13

It's finally time for monthly empties, nothing better than collecting rubbish for a post. To be honest empties post are my favourite to read, but I just hate collecting my own rubbish, oh well gotta get used to it.
Soap and Glory Flake Away Scrub: This scrub is just the bomb! Smells so good and leaves the skin feeling really soft. Overall Soap and Glory scrubs are just my favourite.
Bourjois 1,2,3 Perfecting Foundation: The best foundation for summer month, I really like the coverage and the fact that it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. Bourjois foundations tend to break me out, but luckily this one didn't.
L'Oreal Super Liner*: My all time favourite eye liner, I had a back up. It's so hard to find in a Boots store, whenever I aim to hunt it down is always sold out.
Bioderma Micellar Water: There wouldn't be an empties post with out a Micellar Water, luckily I had back up of my beloved Bioderma! Such a great product to get rid of the eye make-up, although I been having trouble with that lately. Gotta find something slightly stronger, any recommendations?
Nivea Q10 Anti Cellulite Serum: The scent is just unbelievable! So good. To be honest I didn't really notice that my Cellulite got less visible, even thought I did workout.  The Clarins Anti-Cellulite product is a lot more better!
John Fredia Full Repair Shampoo: Smelled really nice, gave my hair some volume. A cool product to use if you don't have any other shampoos at home.
Sanctuary Spa Eye Cream: Kept my under eye area moistursed, but to be honest it's nothing special, but did the job. The one I am using at the moment is so much worst than this one. Need to get my hands on the Kiehl's Avocado Eye Cream.
Garnier Intensive 7 Days Body Lotion: My favourite cheap Body Lotion, smells so good, keeps my body well moisturised. Absorbs into the body really quickly, what else do you need?
Sanex Deodorant: I don't have a problem with sweating or anything, but whenever I used this I never felt safe, if you know what I mean. I kept on using a spray deodorant on top of this, just to have that extra protection, as on it own Sanex deodorant just didn't protect me.
Soap and Glory Body Milk Lotion: How stupid was I when I bought this? Okay let get it straight, this scent is just way too sweet for my liking! Overall the Lotion was amazing for leg shaving, but I just couldn't stand the scent on my body.
Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara: Okay mascara. Never done anything amazing to my lashes, so I have no clue why it's so hyped up around bloggers.
L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara: All time favourite Mascara, guess I don't need to go into too much details, as I talk about Telescopic Mascara all the time.
Hello Mojito Mouthwash: Best Mouthwash I had so far. Normally all the mouthwash I used before taste so badly and leave you with the unpleasant taste in your mouth. This taste exactly like Mojito, but without the alcohol, which is a good thing, as you don't want to have alcoholic breath.
Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder: My all time favourite powder, it's so much better than the MAC Skinfinish powder. Healthy Balance Powder is just the bomb when it's comes to mattifying the skin! I know that there is a new version I belive in a black packaging, wonder if it's as good as this.

what I've been buying lately

Been bad again! I felt slightly spendy, just wanted to pick up few things as a treat after terrible month of February. Glad it's finally over! Been on a hunt for balm/cream cleansers and the Ren No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm been on my wishlist for some time already, while having a Cult Beauty voucher, it have landed in my basket. Recently my skin got a lot more drier, so I need to stay away from gel cleansers. Oskia is a new brand for me, so many bloggers have been recommending the Perfect Cleanser, I am a finally a happy owner of the cleanser and I just can't wait to try it out. One thing that sucks, is that you can't use it around your eye area.

Six more eyeshadows and my MAC palette will be finally complete, Naked Lunch is such a beautiful shimmery light pink and Brule is a soft creamy beige. Both eyeshadows are great to be applied all over the lid, or as a base eyeshadow. I saw Barbara instagram picture with the L'Oreal Infallible Foundation and I was blown away! Her skin looked so fab! My oh my this foundation is just a bomb! Makes your skin look air brushed. The Aveda Scalp Benefits Shampoo wasn't a planned purchase, I just needed something to balance out my scalps. The shampoo doesn't contain SLS and perfume, great news for my sensitive scalps. Neal's Yard Wild Rose Hand Cream another great product, the ingredients list is just great! Great product for my dry hands and I really like the scent. While being in WholeFoods I've noticed the Salt Of Earth Natural Deodorant, so I've picked up the travel size, just to check if it does actually work, so far it does seem to work. Hope you liked my haul. Tell me what you've been buying recently?
food: the diner camden town
As I've mention on Twitter I am planning to make my blog a little bit more lifestyle. I really like to go out and discover new places for food in London. This have been my second trip to The Diner and again this place have been amazing!

We went to the Camden Town Diner, we waited around 10minute for the table, which was completely fine, as we haven't booked a table in advance. I went out with my close friend, in total we tried out 6 drinks from the Menu, all were amazing! Diner Moijto and Red Slushy have been my winners. Red Slushy doesn't taste like alcohol at all, more like a berry smoothie. We did end up leaving the place slightly tipsy, okay maybe a little more. For the main I've ordered Cheese Burger, the best burger I've eaten so far in London (nothing beats the one I've had in High Wycombe). For the side I went for the Hanger fries, I never been a fan of onion, but the smokey onion got me like my oh my! My friend went for the exactly the same meal. Not sure how we manged to fit in the dessert, but we did decided to try it out. I went for the Chocolate Brownie, Ice Cream and Hot Fudge Sauce, that was just heaven in my mouth! I am craving is so much whilst I am writing this post. My friend went for the Blueberry Pancakes they tasted amazing too! I would definitely recommend The Diner if you near one, in total they have 7 restaurants, around London. Let's talk about the prices, for the main you pay around £7 which isn't too bad. I think the menu prices are pretty fair. You don't need to spend a fortune to leave with a full belly. Let me know if any of you been here before and what did you order?
 february favourites

It's time for February favourites, this time it's not only make-up based. February been such a short months, not going to lie it was my worst month so far. I am glad it's finally over and hopefully there won't be anymore bad news or accidents.

Soap and Glory Righteous Butter is just the bomb! So moisturising, great for the coldish weather, I just can't wait for summer. Personally I love thick moisturisers during the colder weather, the Righteous is very thick and so moisturising, as well as it's smells so good.
Aussie Mega Watt is just my new favourite. I been on a hunt for new shower gel and I've notice that Aussie have released new Body range, I believe that there are around 4 different scents. Mega Watt is my winner, smells really nice. It contains Australian ginseng so it's energising and leave you feeling awake. Great shower gel to use in the morning.
This Works In Transit Camera Close-Up recently everyone have been talking about this primer, I had mine for around 5months. Not going to lie, it's an amazing product, makes your make-up last a little longer. Makes your skin texture feel really smooth and even, I never really been into primers but this one have blown my mind. Will definitely write a full review on it asap!
Kate Spade iPhone Cover how beautiful is this iphone cover? It's so simple but pretty at the same time. I do really need to pick up a new one, as this one is almost falling apart. In general I really like Kate Spade simplicity in products.
2015 Calendar I finally manged to get my life together! I've been looking for a simple day-a-page calendar and this one is just perfect. Mine is from WhSmiths. As you may or may not know, I do like simple notebooks, calendars, phone cases.

Hope you all had a lovely February.
